General Sharpening Tips

There will be a brief break in period for the diamond stone side of your BevelSharp.  At first the diamond surface may seem aggressive when sharpening.  The sharpener will smooth after the initial sharpening with no affect on long term performance.

If you maintain your edges, the BevelSharp will be all you need to keep your tools sharp and ready to cut.

You may use the diamond stone dry, with water, or with a compound like the BevelSharp compound.

Be sure to start with a clean edge on the tool you are sharpening.

Do not over sharpen. A few strokes of your tool is all you need to maintain a sharp edge with your BevelSharp diamond stone and strop.  This not only will save you time but also extends the life of your tool.
