Yes, but not the kind that will make you rich or popular with the ladies. The Bevel Sharp is manufactured using the DMT® diamond stones which are a continuous surface diamond stone made monocrystalline diamonds which are about 60 microns in size. Monocrystalline diamonds are diamonds of high quality that are not fractured. These diamonds are uniformly sized. DMT® bonds these to a nickel backing to provide a long lasting very flat surface.

Unlike real diamonds, a Bevel Sharp diamond stone isn’t forever. But in all seriousness, a Bevel Sharp Diamond Stone and Strop, if cared for properly, will last for many many years. Please see our instructions on how to best care for your Bevel Sharp.

The Bevel Sharp Diamond Stone can be used dry, which is the preferred method for sharpening with our product. Q: What kind of leather is used for the strop?
The Bevel Sharp strop is comprised of only choice pieces of high quality vegetable tanned leather.
Q: Can the Bevel Sharp Strop be used with a compound?
The Bevel Sharp Strop can be used with or without a stropping compound. The smooth vegetable tanned leather by itself will realign the burr on a cutting edge or remove it. Using a compound may help speed the process and is really a matter of personal preference. The ability to use the strop without compound aids in the Bevel Sharp’s convenience and portability.
